🧴Post-Wax Care Checklist: What to Do in the First 48 Hours After Your Wax

Your skin is smooth, your confidence is high, and you’re feeling brand new 💃 — but don’t stop there!
Proper aftercare is key to keeping that glow and avoiding irritation.

Here’s your 48-hour post-wax survival guide straight from the Bare Beauty babes 💖

🚫 What to Avoid After Waxing

For the first 24–48 hours:

  • No hot baths, saunas, or tanning

  • No workouts or excessive sweating

  • No tight clothes or friction

  • No exfoliating or scrubbing

  • No touching freshly waxed skin (even if it’s silky smooth 👀)

Your pores are “open” after waxing — so we want to give them time to calm down.

💕 What You Should Do

✔️ Use a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer to soothe the skin
✔️ Apply an aloe or witch hazel gel to reduce redness
✔️ Wear loose cotton clothing to let skin breathe
✔️ Keep the area clean — we use CaviCide in-studio, but at home, just gentle soap + water is perfect

🌿 After 48 Hours

Start exfoliating gently 2–3 times per week to prevent ingrowns and keep skin glowing. Use a mild sugar scrub or exfoliating mitt.

Hydrate daily — because hydrated skin means the next wax will be easier and less painful.

💖 Your Aftercare Arsenal

🧴 Aloe gel
🧼 Gentle cleanser
🧽 Exfoliating mitt
💧 Lightweight moisturizer

Because smooth skin is great — but healthy, glowing skin is better. ✨
