How Often Should You Get a Brazilian Wax?
(A Licensed Esthetician Explains the Ideal Schedule)
This is one of the most common Brazilian waxing questions we hear at Bare Beauty Wax Studio—and the answer is surprisingly simple, with a little nuance (because skin always has opinions).
✨ The sweet spot for Brazilian waxing is every 4–6 weeks. ✨
Why? Because hair grows in cycles. Not all of it shows up to the party at the same time, and waxing works best when most of the hair is in its active growth phase. Staying consistent allows your licensed esthetician to remove more hair at once, leading to smoother results that last longer—and fewer ingrowns trying to ruin your peace.
If you come in too soon, the hair may be too short to wax effectively. If you wait too long, the hair gets thicker, longer, and a bit more… emotionally attached. Neither option is ideal.
Consistency is where the magic happens. Regular Brazilian waxing helps:
Hair grow back finer and sparser
Reduce overall discomfort over time
Minimize ingrown hairs
Keep your skin smoother for longer stretches
And yes—we have to say it lovingly: shaving between Brazilian waxes resets your progress. One shave can make the next wax more uncomfortable and undo weeks of follicle training. Trust the process.
Life happens. Schedules get busy. If you fall off your waxing routine, that’s okay—just know your next Brazilian might feel more like a “first date” again.
